Technical Theatre: HND

This new course will enable you to develop knowledge and skills relating to a career in technical theatre. You will have the opportunity to incorporate these skills during live theatrical performances of drama and musical theatre.

(SCQF Level 7)

Entry Requirements

Preferably 2 Highers (band C or above) OR appropriate range of SQA NQ units. Mature students over 21 without appropriate qualifications but with relevant experience may be given entry. Entry by informal interview.

Course Content

Stage Management; Stage Lighting; Stage Sound; Set Construction and Painting; Props for Production; Audio/Visual technologies for performance sound.

Can lead to:
HND Technical Theatre (subject to validation). Employment within the theatre industry.
