Professional Stage Dance: HND

This new course will enable you to develop knowledge and skills relating to a career in professional stage dance. You will have the opportunity to incorporate these skills during live theatrical performances of dance and musical theatre.

(SCQF Level 8)

Entry Requirements

Preferably 2 Higher plus previous dance experience. Entry will be by audition.

Course Content

Classical Ballet; Jazz Dance; Tap Dance; Singing Skills; Acting for Dancers; Contemporary Dance.

Students learn about the workings of the body, posture, and stage presence, and are given lessons in a variety of forms of dance, such as jazz, contemporary, ballet, tap, modern and street.
