Pathways: Science and Health (Part Time)

This course has been designed for those with career aspirations in Health and Science and is intended for students with no formal qualifications who wish to gain entry to the College’s pre-University courses.


This introductory programme will be delivered at a pace which will be sympathetic to students’ needs to help re-establish themselves in education and in a manner which will help build their confidence.


Successful students GUARANTEED a place on NQ programmes. Individual students may qualify for certain Access programmes.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to cope with the course. Some experience in caring (eg care assistant/nursing a sick relative/bringing up children) preferred for those interested in Nursing

Course Content

Biology; Chemistry; Investigation Skills; Mathematics; Computing; Communications; Study Skills.
Support and guidance are available with regular feedback on progression.
