Music Performance - Rock/Pop: HNC

This course is targeted at musicians keen to develop their skills and talent in the pop, rock and indie genres. This course is offered in collaboration with the Academy of Music and Sound based in their rehearsal studios at the Classic Grand in Jamaica Street, Glasgow.

Working with well established performers and songwriters from the central belt of Scotland and learning in such a creative environment means that this course offers the aspiring musician the perfect study option.

Entry Requirements

Minimum of Higher Music (band C or above) or its equivalent plus passes in at least 2 other subjects at Intermediate 2 or Standard Grade Credit level, one which is English. Demonstrable ability on at least 1 instrument, or voice.

Course Content

First Study: You will specialise in 1 Instrument; Music Theory; Creative Industries; Sequencing and Programming; Songwriting; Live Performance Skills.

Successful completion may constitute the first year of an HND or Undergraduate Degree programme.
