Electrical Engineering: NC

This course is intended for trainee Technicians working in Electrical Engineering or a related industry. It is also suitable for mature persons requiring retraining as well as school leavers. Students completing the course successfully are awarded the National Certificate in Electrical Engineering.

(SCQF Level 6)

Entry Requirements

Standard Grades (grade 3 or above) plus preferably Mathematics at Higher Grade OR an appropriate range of SQA NC modules or NQ units. Entry by informal interview.

Course Content

Core subjects: Mathematics; Electrical Principles; Communications; Optional subjects: Electrical Plant; Electrical Installation.

Can lead to:
Employment (at Technician level). HNC/HND courses.
