Electrical Engineering: NC
This course is intended for trainee Technicians working in Electrical Engineering or a related industry. It is also suitable for mature persons requiring retraining as well as school leavers. Students completing the course successfully are awarded the National Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
(SCQF Level 6)
Entry Requirements
4 Standard grades (grade 3 or above) or intermediate 2 to include Mathematics or an appropriate range of SQA NC modules or NQ units or mature candidates with relevant work experience.
Entry is by informal interview.
Course Content
Core subjects: Mathematics; Electrical Principles; Communications; Optional subjects: Electrical Plant; Electrical Installation.
Applicants do not need to submit an application but should instead attend the enrolment events on the following dates and times
w/c 27/08 Monday to Friday 9 o’clock
w/c 28/08 Monday until Friday 9 o’clock
Duration
2 academic years
August - June
6.5 hours (1 day)

Employment (at Technician level). HNC/HND courses.
