Civil Engineering: NC (Modern Apprenticeship)

This programme is designed to provide students with the appropriate technical education required for a Technician within the field of Civil/Structural Engineering. The course provides a grounding in the subjects of Land Surveying, Site Work, Materials Testing and Structural Mechanics.

(SCQF Level 6)

Entry Requirements

4 Standard Grades (grade 3 or above) or Intermediate 2 to include Mathematics OR an appropriate range of SQA NC modules or NQ units OR mature candidates with suitable work experience. Entry by informal interview.

Course Content

Mathematics; Construction Site Surveying: Civil Engineering Site Work; Mechanics for Construction: Civil Engineering Technology; Construction Materials; CAD.
