This programme is designed to provide students with an understanding of the knowledge and technical skill associated with the duties of a technician in the field of Civil/Structural Engineering. The syllabus also provides the basis for further study in Civil Engineering at a higher level such as HND and Degree Courses.
(SCQF Level 6)
Entry Requirements
4 Standard Grades (grade 3 or above) or Intermediate 2 to include Mathematics OR an appropriate range of SQA NC modules or NQ units OR mature candidates with relevant work experience.
Entry by informal interview.
Course Content
Mathematics; Construction Site Surveying; Mechanics for Construction; Civil Engineering Site Work; CAD; Civil Engineering Technology; Construction Materials.
