“At first I wanted to study chemistry but also found biology to my liking. What was different from school was that lecturers were friendly and made you feel like an adult. Passing the NQ Applied Sciences secured my place on the University of the West of Scotland BSc course, the first year of which is taught at Stow. This meant I got to know some of my BSc lecturers beforehand.”
