Applied Sciences: HNC in Applied Science (Chemistry)

This course provides a broad understanding of the main branches of Science and is designed for students who wish to follow a career in chemical related sciences. The course structure covers essential scientific knowledge and principles in science, and also includes a large amount of training in essential practical skills and modern instrumentation.

(SCQF Level 7)

Entry Requirements

One Chemistry Higher at grade C or above, Standard Grade Mathematics at level two or above, plus two other Standard Grades from Biology, Chemistry, Physics or English at level two or above, or equivalent Intermediate 2 grades (A or B).

An appropriate range of SQA NC or NQ units will also be considered.  If you don't have Higher Chemistry please consider NQ Applied Science (Higher level - year 2).

Chemistry; Computer Applications; Presentation Skills; Mathematics; Microbiology; Physics; Statistics; Quality & Health & Safety Systems in Science Industries.
