Access to Social Science
This course provides a broad introduction to the Social Sciences and will develop essential skills in essay writing, research, ICT and numeracy. The majority of successful students progress on to HND Social Science and then to University-level study. Part-time attendance will not affect claimants’ benefit situation.
Entry Requirements
Access courses provide support and guidance
to help adults return to learning and to choose
the most appropriate route to Higher
Education.
There are no formal entry requirements and
admission is by informal interview.

Communication; Study Skills; Philosophy; History; Psychology; Sociology; Politics; Information Technology; Numeracy.

August - June

Can lead to:
Diploma in Women’s Studies. A range of HNC/HND courses.
