Access to Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (SWAP)

Designed to enable adults with no formal qualifications to prepare in one year for entry to a Degree/HND/HNC course. Progression is possible into a broad range of subjects including all types of Engineering, Computing, Mathematics Environmental Studies and Science. Students can also apply for Degree courses in teaching of Technology. Successful students are GUARANTEED a place on a Degree/HND/HNC course.

Entry Requirements

Access courses provide support and guidance to help adults return to learning and choose the most appropriate route to Higher Education. There are no formal entry requirements and admission is by informal interview.

Course Content

Mathematics; Physics; Chemistry; English; Computing. Students will have the opportunity to explore these various options before making choices about which of the subjects to take forward to more detailed study.
