Access to Health Studies: BSc Nursing (SWAP)

Designed to enable adults with no formal qualifications to prepare, in one year, for entry into a degree course in Nursing, or HNC Healthcare or in some cases HNC Social Care.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal academic prerequisites however applicants should preferably have a gap in their formal education (4 years out of school).  You must be highly motivated and conscientious.

Successful applicants progressing to university in health related areas will need to satisfy criteria outlined by the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) (Scotland) Act 2007.

Admission is by informal interview.

     Communications; Mathematics; Information Technology; Preparation for Higher Education

Course Specific Units

     Biology; Chemistry; Psychology
