If the answer to these questions is YES you may want to consider an Access course at Stow College.
Access courses are run in partnership with the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP) and are specifically designed to encourage adults to return to learning. Each course is designed to ease you back into education and provide you with information and support for the transition into higher education at university degree level or higher national certificate (HNC) level.
Stow College offers an extensive range of Access courses that offer progression to local universities. Our success in these courses has seen past students ultimately graduating with good honours degrees. Our close links with universities helps with the transition from college to degree programmes.
Candidates should be highly motivated with a desire to succeed in the year at Stow College and then beyond.
There are no formal academic prerequisites however applicants should preferably have a gap in their formal education.
Admission is by informal interview.
