Do you want to contribute to the development of further and higher education in the north and east of Glasgow?
Glasgow’s newest college will be created through the merger of John Wheatley, North Glasgow and Stow Colleges on 1 November 2013.
The new College will continue to be rooted in the communities it serves and committed to delivering positive outcomes for all its learners and stakeholders.
We are looking for three individuals to add to the skills and expertise of the Board to join in the governance of this new College from the start, and contribute to overseeing and guiding its development. We are seeking to appoint Board Members who can demonstrate a commitment to the ethos and vision of the new College to the development and regeneration of its communities across north and east Glasgow, and who have a particular interest in college further and higher education.
Applicants should have relevant experience (paid or voluntary) and the range of skills and expertise to enable them to contribute significantly to the strategic direction and governance of the new College.
Expressions of interest are particularly sought from individuals who have professional qualifications, skills or experience in one or more of the following areas:
In addition, interest or experience in equality and diversity, in law/ legal affairs/ governance, in sustainable development, or post-school education policy and management would be advantageous.

The position is voluntary and non-remunerated; relevant expenses would be reimbursed.
