Our College Charity

Our College Charity

As part of Stow’s commitment to helping the wider community various fundraising events are held in the college throughout the year, the proceeds of which are passed on to the college’s selected charity for that year.   In 2010 over £1500 was raised for Bobath, a charity which assists children with Cerebral Palsy.

The Stow College charity for 2011, which has been approved by the CEC is the Glasgow Association for Mental Health.

GAMH, founded in 1978, is established as one of the principal providers of Mental Health services in Greater Glasgow. They aim to provide high quality support to those who are experiencing mental health difficulties and to their carers. They are committed to the principle of Social Inclusion and to raising the awareness and understanding of mental health issues.

GAMH's vision is - All of Scotland's people will achieve full and equal citizenship rights, regardless of their mental health status.
