ESOL

All Stow College courses require an appropriate level of competence in English language as a precondition for entry.

The College provides an extensive range of support mechanisms for students whose first language is not English. This support is available to all students in the College through ‘The Hub’.

In addition, full time and part time ESOL courses are available at Beginner, Elementary and Intermediate levels by the college's Management and Education Department.

English Language Support (ESOL)

Additional English language support is available for any students enrolled on a mainstream course who feel they would benefit from assistance. A tutor will be on hand to support you while you study and will be able to read and comment on your written work and help you prepare for your assignments. This can be done as part of a group or on a one-to-one basis at arranged times outside your timetable.

You can drop in to The Hub or book an appointment if you require additional information.  Hub staff will then put you in touch with the relevant ESOL contact.
