Musical Theatre: HND
A broad based course covering the main areas of musical theatre and providing the opportunity for personal development and confidence building. There is a particular emphasis on practical skills and students will have the opportunity to perform in a variety of musicals, showcases and other public events. Completion enables students to enter BA Degree (3rd Year) in Music Theatre delivered at Stow College.
(SCQF Level 8)
Entry Requirements
By audition, applicants will be expected to perform two songs and one monologue. Appropriate educational qualifications would be an advantage and should include at least one Higher preferably in English, Music or Drama.
Course Content
Vocal Techniques; Acting Skills; Dance; Singing Skills; Make-up; Movement; Performance Skills.

2 academic years
August - June

“I loved singing and had already studied Irish dancing for eight years, so Stow’s HND Musical Theatre seemed a natural move for me. One of the best things is the chance to rehearse and take part in stage musical productions and showcases for family and friends. The next step for Nicole may be to take a degree course in dance or singing, perhaps in Edinburgh.”
