This course provides a broad understanding of the issues and practice of health care. It is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in the caring professions. The course will also provide a valuable additional qualification for former Access to Health Studies students who are awaiting entry to university.
(SCQF Level 7)
A relevant NC programme in Health Care and/or Nursing, or at least one Higher in a relevant subject. Candidates should have Higher Biology or equivalent plus Communication at SCQF level 5.
Candidates with relevant work experience are particularly welcome to apply. All candidates will undertake a written exercise at interview . Please note that this course involves a practical work placement in a care setting and that a full PVG (criminal record) check will be required.
