This programme conforms to the new SQA national framework. It provides students with both the theory and practical skills necessary to become an Electronics Technician.

Entry Requirements

An appropriate NC OR Higher Mathematics or Physics or Technological Studies OR 2 related Intermediate 2 awards OR other relevant qualifications and experience. Entry by informal interview.

Course Content

Analogue & Digital Electronics; Computing in Engineering; Microcontrollers; PALs; Test Equipment; Fault Finding; Electronic Project.

HNC: 1 academic year, HND: 2 academic years
August - June
18 hours

Can lead to:
Technician; Degree Courses; Trainee Engineer.
