Business: HND

Designed to develop the essential skills and knowledge required for employment in the contemporary commercial and business world, the programme is both active and practical. As well as developing business competencies students will have the opportunity to develop their personal effectiveness and increase their employment potential. Assessment of the programme is by regular coursework.

Entry Requirements

Minimum of 2 relevant higher at band C or above, and/or relevant work experience.

Alternatively a range of SQA NC modules or NQ units (or equivalent) supported by work experience. Entry by informal interview.

Course Content

Aspects of Business Organisation; Legal Aspects; Finance and Economics; Information Skills. The HND also allows students to develop their skills in specialist areas such as Marketing and Human Resource Management. The first year of this course corresponds to an HNC in Business.
