This course will prepare candidates for an appropriate level of employment, in science areas such as research and industrial laboratories; biotechnology, chemical, microbiological, pharmaceutical, and environmental industries, and in particular NHS biomedical laboratories. The main areas of study are in the Chemical and Biological Sciences and the programme has a heavy laboratory workload that helps build in the vocational skills required for progression.
This is a two year programme.
The HND is suitable for applicants wishing to progress into employment or university.

Two Highers - one must be Higher Chemistry, the other from Biology, Physics or Mathematics -at grade C or above, plus four standard grades or at credit level 1 or 2, or Intermediate 2 grades at A or B.
