Accounting: HND
This programme is designed to provide the essential skills and underpinning knowledge which will provide entry at an appropriate level into employment and also permit progress to further academic and professional qualifications. The first year of the programme equates to the HNC award.
(SCQF Level 7/8)
Entry Requirements
Minimum of 2 relevant higher at band C or above, and/or relevant work experience.
Other relevant qualifications or experience in the sector will also be considered.
All suitable applicants will be interviewed.
Course Content
A range of accounting units dealing with both Financial and Management Accounting form the core of this award with additional elements drawn from IT and related disciplines.
Duration
2 academic years
August - June
16 hours
Can lead to:
Employment in the finance function of a range of organisations and private practice. Degree/professional qualifications. Provides underpinning for SVQ Accounting.
