Primary Children Visit the College

On Monday the 14th of March a group of pupils from the Kelbourne Park Primary School next to Stow West come in to the college to see the building and meet staff

The pupils are doing a project at school where they learn about their local area and they sent a letter to Stow asking if they could visit to get to know their next door neighbours better. They met with staff from the Music Department and some of the students.

It turns out the children are big fans of High School Musical / Glee, so our Music & Creative Industries department students were able to perform a few numbers from “Honk”, a musical they were rehearsing for.

The children at Kelbourne Park all have physical impairments so it was good for them to meet with staff and discover that disabilities don't get in the way of attending a class at Stow, one pupil in particular seemed quite keen on becoming a drama / dance student ......... so maybe we will see her attend a course in the future.
