Stowaways student Michael Anderson, in World Premier of 'Lord of the Flies'
Well, what a term this is turning out to be. We have already performed the Scottish premier of Marguerite the musical at Rutherglen Town hall, A Memory of Water and Romeo and Juliet at the east Kilbride Arts Centre and now we move into a new and exciting era in dance.
Next week sees the first ever four day run of the dance students production of Dance, Dance and yet more Dance at the East Kilbride Village Theatre (Weds 9th - Sat 12th Mar). Sixty students take to the stage in numerous dance routines ranging from performers from NQ to HND year 2. Hot on the heels of this is Honk the musical at the Rutherglen Town hall (Thurs 17th - Sat 19th March). Don't miss out on these fabulous shows.
We are also delighted to announce that one of our second year students in dance, Michael Anderson has won a role in the world premier of Matthew Bourne's new adaptation of Lord of the Flies, with the world premier taking place at The Theatre Royal, Glasgow on the 3rd March 2011. This is an exceptional opportunity for Michael, to be working with one of the worlds leading dance choreographers and directors is quite exceptional. Well done Michael and good luck to you this week. See if you can spot Michael in the below UTube advertisement. You can also see Michael at the East Kilbride Theatre next week in Dance, Dance and yet more Dance.
