Pharmacy Services: Nq (Part Time)

This programme is intended for Pharmacy Technicians working in a community or hospital pharmacy. The course will also increase the understanding of anyone working in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.  The specialist subjects are taught by a qualified pharmacist. Successful students will gain the NC in Pharmacy Services Group Award.  This National Certificate Group Award provides the underpinning knowledge for SVQ Pharmacy Services level 3.

Entry Requirements

Employment in a hospital pharmacy department or community pharmacy.

Entry by informal interview.

All candidates will undertake a written exercise at interview.

 

Course Content

Pharmacology; Pharmaceutics; Physiology; Medical terms; Chemistry; Microbiology.

2 academic years
August - June
6.5 Hours (1 day)

Can lead to:
Employment. Commencement of SVQ Pharmaceutical Services Level 3.
