   hi, i am currently in my sixth year at school and i'm wondering when i should apply for this course, even a rough estimate would do, also, if anyone had any insight on the course i would appreciate it, thx

   Hi there,

   Im currently on the first year of the course. So far it has been pretty easy, as long as you turn up everyday you will have no problem passing assessments. The work does come thick and fast so you can fall quite far behind even if you miss one day. The course is only 2 and a half days a week so there aint really an excuse not to make it to class.

   I left the Army in march and applied the same month. It took a wwhile for the college to process my application due to the volume of applicants but I got my interview in june. The early you apply the better, january would probably be a good time.

   As long as you have a decent grasp of mathematics and good communication skills(you do have to do presentations) you'll be fine.

   thanks alot, was more than enough info, but i was also wondering how to know what level (HNC/HND) to apply for and maybe even what grades are needed to do so?

   You need 2 highers, grade C and above or maybe int 2 at a push dependant on level of applicants, to apply for the 2 year HNC/HND course. If you only do the first year you get an HNC or you can do both years for your HND.
