Stow College does not have student residencies. Our Student Advisors may be able to offer advice and information about accommodation, but you would be well-advised to have explored this issue before you arrive in Glasgow to begin your studies (www.unite-student.co.uk has links to good quality local student accommodation). The start of any academic year is always a very busy time in the local accommodation-to-let market with many students seeking accommodation. You need to know where you can stay at least for the first few weeks, before you arrive to give you time to look around and perhaps locate better, or more suitable accommodation.
The College can give assistance to full and part-time students who require childcare.
We can offer eligible students significant financial assistance to help pay for registered nurseries, childminders and after-school care.
Childcare resources are limited and demand usually exceeds supply, you should therefore ensure that you apply as early as possible for childcare support.
The College's Learner Services Department can also help you contact other agencies that can assist you in sourcing registered Childcare providers.
For further details and information about Childcare and how we can help, please contact Learner Services staff in the College on 0844 249 8585 or e-mail email@example.com
