As part of Stow's commitment to widening access and social inclusion we have developed a range of foundation level programmes designed for people with few or no qualifications who want to build themselves a better future. Out Pathways (LINK) courses are designed for young people, require no qualifications for entry and will build your skills base and your confidence so that you can move on to further learning opportunities. Access courses (LINK) are run as part of the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP) and are designed for adults with few or no qualifications. Successful completion of an Access course will guarantee you a place in Higher Education on a Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma or University Degree course. Stow has been running Access courses since 1987 and now offers the most extensive range of these courses in Scotland. For many people it is only once they've left school that they begin to realise just how important Highers are as a pathway to jobs and higher level qualifications. Here at Stow we have developed a range of Higher (LINK) courses for people of all ages offered on a part-time or full-time basis. So if you missed out on the chance to take Highers at school or are looking to add to your portfolio of Higher subjects we can help. For further information on our Pathways, Access and Higher courses contact our friendly staff in Learner Services who will be pleased to help you. (Tel: 0844 249 8585 or Email: enquiries@stow.ac.uk) Please not that most of the courses listed in each subject area commenced in August 2009. Many of the courses will also be available from August 2010. Please contact Learner Services regarding the availability of courses for August 2010. |
