Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician: (MCDST)

The Certificate in Desktop Support provides the ideal grounding for an IT career. The course provides the skills to successfully support users and troubleshoot Windows based desktop applications and desktop operating systems. Students will also be able to sit Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) exams and achieve Microsoft MCP/MCDST accreditation.

Entry Requirements

Industry related experience. Applicants over 18 may be accepted with lower qualifications.

Supporting Users & Troubleshooting a desktop Operating System; Supporting Users & Troubleshooting Desktop Applications.

1 academic year
August - June
3 hours (plus recommended 3 hours self study)

Can lead to:
Progression to Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA). Employment as Desktop Technician; Helpdesk/Call Centre Technician.
