This course provides you with the practical hands on skills and knowledge to source, build and troubleshoot the hardware components of your own Personal Computer. The course also involves the practical tasks of operating system installation and configuration.

The DIY PC course covers the following areas:

  • Sourcing the required hardware and software components
  • Safety issues
  • Identifying & Assembling the basics
  • Troubleshooting hardware Issues
  • Operating System choices and Installations
  • Common Operating System troubleshooting techniques
  • Maintaining performance
  • Internet connection considerations
  • Basic Internet Security concepts.
