This course is for people who have already completed the Inspection, Testing and Certification parts of the 2391 course and who are fully conversant with the current, 17th, Edition of BS 7671 ( IEE Wiring Regulations ).
17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382) & Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391-10)
This course covers Electrical Installation Design to BS7671, including all stages of design from assessment of general characteristics through to selection of equipment.
The course covers the testing and inspection of the completed installation and analysis of test results.
Assessment for the Certificate consists of three parts:
1) A design project set by City & Guilds. This will be started during the course. It will be completed outside the College with tutor support and supervision from the College.
2) A 3 hour written exam covering Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations. Dates for this are set by City and Guilds.
3) A 3 hour practical test covering Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations. Candidates who have already completed the Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification are exempt from this.
