Computer Forensics: Introduction

The focus on this hands-on course is learning the foundations of the processes involved in the managerial and technical aspects found within computer based forensic investigations.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However it is recommended that students have at least 6 months experience of using computers and understand the basics of Internet technologies. This course would also be suitable for those already in employment in the field of IT.

Course Content

Computer Forensics concepts. Incident response and investigatory processes. Cybercrime, the law and ethics. Practical investigation methods, network forensics. Forensic readiness.
