CCNA Exploration 1: Network Fundamentals
The focus of this course is on learning both the practical and conceptual skills that build the foundation for understanding basic networking. Students entering on to this course will be eligible to enroll on the Cisco Network Academy Program.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However it is recommended that students have at least 6 months experience of using computers and understand the basics of Internet technologies. This course would also be suitable for those already in employment in the field of IT
Course Content
Human versus network communication, models used to plan and implement networks: OSI and TCP/IP, network maths, network devices and media, network utilities and tools.

9 weeks
September - December
3 hours
Can lead to:
Employment as network technician or progression to CCNA Exploration 2: Routing Protocols and Concepts.
