Capoeira is a fast and versatile martial art. It is a Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, sports, and music. It was created in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves with Brazilian native influences, probably beginning in the 16th century. Find out more here

 

Capoeira Classes are every Tuesday & Thursday 7-8pm. Stow West Studios.

Cost only £25 for 4 classes.

Course Content

Capoeira is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power kicks and quick leg sweeps, with some ground and aerial acrobatics.

In capoeira class you will learn to move your body in new ways. Some of the positions are upside down, some are sideways, and many are low to the ground. Capoeira teaches you body control, balance and agility. It teaches you body awareness and how to be aware of others. Every gender, body type and age of person can learn the movements!
